The « Small Prints Project » came up from an idea of Sabina Colonna Preti, musician and his daughter, Margherita Pupulin. They decided to set up a shared dream: From their musical education, they will interact with worldwide children, through concerts and an international orchestra of young talents (Small Prints Orchestra) will perform on a world tour. Music will be the vector to bring up the attention of the governments of host countries in order to reinforce and respect children’s rights everywhere in the world. The orchestra should be, as well, a tool to build up a better future.
The Project is aimed at children aged 5 to 18 years old. The reference and documentation being the Convention of the Rights of the Children of the United Nations. The project is managed by an independant international body and the objective is to structure and consolidate on progressive pattern actions that will allow to generate autonomy int their initiatives among the youngest participants. Children and teenagers are the protagonists of this project and they must elaborate Interactive Laboratories of cooperation between themselves. This is what makes this project totally distinctive and peculiar from others propositions of this type. We consider,indeed, the children as Ambassadors of peace and dialogue within the peoples through the language of their music.
The maestro, Claudio Abbado has already shown and demonstrate his sincere interest by becoming the godfather of Small Prints.
