    1st observation conclusions:

    1.Bicycles are the preferred and most common urban transportation in central park.

    2.Amongst bicycle riders there is a definite separation between “leisure” riders (for the fun) and “physical exercise” riders.

    3.All the roads, trails of Central Park are suitable for bicycle riding shared with pedestrians and other urban transportation methods (rollerblades, scooters, skateboards)

    4.Light distributions in the park- light posts are Omni-directional and located almost every 50 meters along the trails. Main roads light posts are more massive and electricity consuming.

    Observation #2 Plan:

    Main interest: Bicycles

    a. Location: Fountain entrance (coord. - 40°46'25.47"N / 73°58'14.60"W)

    b. Weather: Low temperature, no rain.

    c. Day time

    d. Objectives:

    1. Quantity and type of bicycles.

    2. Duration of workout

    3. Interviewing bicycles riders after/before workout.

    4. How do riders park their bicycles during breaks / not in use?
