• "Energy to the Max" Building (leon)

    Case study: energy saving space:

All aspects of the bio climatic "EREN" building are designed to maximize energy efficiency and sustainability. Electricity is provided by an array of Solar Panels in front of the building. The south-facing side of the building features a sealed glass wall that traps the sun's heat and maximizes natural light. The north-facing side of the building has minimal windows and is built in stone to prevent heat loss.

A small-scale co-generation unit powers the air conditioning, while a solar thermal system on the roof provides hot water.

Inside, the building features many other examples of sustainable architecture, such as high efficiency radiators and low energy lighting in the stairwells.
