My project's mission is to create a renewable energy process by converting the energy invested by human daily activities in public spaces in New York City (parks) into electricity. The electricity produced will supply the needs of the specific public space, and by that create a self energizing and self sustaining space, in terms of energy.

in comparison to the current status, in which the energy invested by people in their routine, daily actions, usually ends up depleted into the ground or open air. The goal in this case is to capture that energy and convert it to electric power without forcing an extra effort, actions or changing people's behavior.

  • Hey Oz, I saw the news about self-generating Power Design in Japan in Taiwan Yahoo. It's basically talking about how they calculated how much power we need for an iPod, which is 1.2 wt. They are trying to develop a human power generator on shoes that can generate power while the person is walking. But they said the power that we generate cannot be stored yet. So, we have to connect it to the iPod. They are trying to develop another one for cell phone which needs 3 wt.

Check it out. That might be helpful.
