I found this article very interesting and informative. I would like to learn more about the initiatives that Mr. Lerner enacted to accomplish what he has so far, particularly in regards to what he called "co-responsibility". I find that often times there is a reluctance on the part of government officials or business people or anyone in a position of power to move forward on environmental issues because of the price tag. Curitiba could be a great case study or basis of comparison to recreate some of these successes in other cities that are not in the best shape economically. If anyone has suggested readings or studies that have been done documenting the methods and results of Curitiba's turn around could you please advise. Thank you.
