Minutes into a field trip to Washington D.C a tour bus flipped, injuring dozens of students and parents in Kentucky Wednesday night. The tour bus, which was carrying 34 students and 20 parents, reportedly ran off the side of a curve. The accident involved no other vehicles, and no life-threatening injuries were reported. The Hart Country superintendent reported that there was one head injury and the rest consisted of broken bones. New Image Travel of Evansville, Indiana operated the bus for WorldStrides. It was determined that the bus driver was not under the influence of any alcohol or drugs. It is fortunate that there were not more serious injuries, and recognition goes out to the emergency responders who were quick and efficient on scene.
