The hype is on, the policies in place, the budgets are in place: Sustainability is in full swing.
Good, very usefull and very needed. But then it comes to product design. When you design a product you are creating a product, you are gonna produce it, create pollution and make people throw their old version to the bin. Doesn't sound very sustainable to me. I would say that the best thng we designers can do is stop designing. Just use your old TV, bathtub, MP3 player, bag, shoes etc.
Easier and cheaper!
