Some licensed El Monte garage doors contractors argue that the springs are the most important element of the entire structure. We feel that this is an accurate description to an extent. One of the problems is that if you neglect the springs then they could ultimately become very dangerous to both the users and the people who are doing maintenance work. Most of the springs that are supplied by licensed garage door companies are rated for 10,000 cycles of usage. Essentially this means that the springs are likely to be functional for between six and seven years at most. Of course we are assuming that you have normal usage. Where the garage door has two springs then both should be replaced accordingly even if just one is broken. They tend to have a multiplier effect as the bonded garage door representative will tell you.
