Output climbed a seasonally adjusted 2.5 percent from November but most analysts had forecast an improvement of more than 4 percent. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng fell 0.5 percent to 23,698.19. South Korea’s Kospi shed 0.4 percent to 1,957.13. Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 fell 0.2 percent to 4,885.90, following 10 straight sessions of gains. Benchmarks in Taiwan, Indonesia and Malaysia fell.
