David Barrie is a producer and director of urban renewal, civic participation and media projects and based in London, England.
David has developed and delivered several high profile renewal programs, featuring extensive and innovative community involvement, valued at over $25m and leveraging over $350m commercial and residential investment in to poor communities.
David is currently delivering a design project in the North of England devoted to creating a healthier, more localised food system in a post-industrial city.
He is also a member of Governmental panels on service design, urban renewal and housing market renewal.
David's background is in the media. Since 1987, he has produced, directed and executive produced network television programmes and documentaries for the BBC, Channel 4, ITV, WNET, National Geographic and Cable News Network.
He has shared his ideas on culture-led regeneration and public involvement at conferences in Europe, Asia and the U.S.A. and is working with public agencies in China on grassroots participation in urban renewal.
