KIMBERLY ROCHELLE WHITE Designer/ Fashion Illustrator
Originally from the east coast, the designer began her career as a model. Discovered by Jackie Kakembo, former co-owner of The African Eye Boutique and Gallery in Georgetown, Kimberly began informal modeling. After an event she was approached by Amy Ward, owner of a modeling agency in the area. She eventually landed a position working as an in-house fit model for Coolwear, a leading sportswear apparel manufacturer in New York City - selling to Macy's, Wet Seal, JC Penney's and Sam's Club. While taking evening classes at the Fashion Institute of Technology, she slowly began creating designs of her own. She relocated to Los Angeles and graduated Otis College of Art & Design. Upon graduation she landed a position in the design department of St. John Knits, an established couturier, developing Swarovski crystal- inspired designs to embellish evening gowns and floral flocked suits. Twice nominated for inclusion in Who's Who of American Women in Business . She is currently the Creative Director of the brand.
