architect (Napoli 1970), attended the Università di Napoli “Federico II” and the Ecole d’Architecture of Nantes, and he has studied computer graphics at the research center Cineca of Bologna. He is involved in architectural projects, landscape design, computer graphics and scientific visualization. Since 1994 works as consultant for several professional firms and public institutions. Pietro has been in charge of researches and seminars promoted by the Università Federico II of Naples. He has participated in several national and international competitions and he has been curator of exhibitions. Since 1999 he teaches visual communication at “Istituto Superiore di Design di Napoli". He is currently involved in the development of “free-source” collaborative designing platforms and participates in the creation of independent informational networks. He is a co-founder and president of LAN. Since 2007 LAN is coordinator of a EU research program financed by the EU Commission about the form of temporary architecture, mapping the social condition of Rom and Sinti people around EU. He teaches Industrial and Advanced Design in the University of Naples and Palermo where he is developing his Phd in Design and Visual Art.
lan laboratorio architettura nomade (laboratory nomadic architecture) is a group of artists and architects experimenting, through the production of projects, events and workshops, with new research concepts and ideas about urban life and built environments.
LAN is a no profit association founded in 2004 for the research and diffusion of art and architecture.
