I grew up in Dubai, UAE and moved to Canada to embark on my industrial design education and career. My work experience includes a 4 month internship at Foley Designs Ltd. In Bangalore, India working on a wide variety of projects and a 12 month co-operative studies placement at Teknion Furniture Systems where I was intimately involved in the development of the Optos Curve demountable wall system, which received a NEOCON Silver Award in 2009. My thesis project involved working alongside South African organization Design Indaba to develop a system of wall-mounted bunk beds for their 10X10 Low-Cost Housing Project. This project was presented at the 2010 Design Indaba Conference in Cape Town, South Africa and was subsequently published in the July-August 2010 edition of Frame magazine.
