I'm a writer with a weird sort of background, I guess. I write for different design and culture magazines with topics ranging from the corporatizing of public art to why strippers scare me. I studied English and creative writing as an undergrad in Chicago, then moved out to San Francisco and eventually found myself back in school, s-l-o-w-l-y earning a masters in Visual Criticism from CCA(back when it had another C). I've contributed to lots of different websites and print publications like, Suface, I.D., Contemporary, Black + White, Afterimage and a bunch of magazines with the word "Art" in the title.

I just moved to Brooklyn and am looking to get involved with museum editorial departments or exhibition design firms or nonprofit art spaces, writing wall text and exhibition guides and whatever else needs some words. I'm also helping to organize the upcoming editorial content for the DESIGN21 website, so if you have any folks you think are doing great work, or if you know of any projects that deserve some recognition, let me know!
