Design 21: Social Design Network

I am always fascinated by product design and what they can do to help people in their daily lives. My mother recently had a similar experience. Due to her immobility, she had trouble opening her screen doors because she had to step forward every time she opened it and it had caused her to fall down the steps. We recently replaced them with retractable screen doors and the problem was instantly resolved. We should give more credit to these product designers; they have made our lives easier without us realizing it.
