Design 21: Social Design Network

Clifford Henry has global responsibility for the Corporate Social Responsibility pillar of the Company’s Sustainable Development program. This includes ensuring compliance with P&G’s Global Supply Chain Code of Conduct; identifying external trends and managing global issues across diverse businesses and geographies; and working with stakeholders on Environmental, Labor other Human Rights concerns.

He is active in a number of associations including the U.S. Council of International Business CSR (Chair) and Environmental Committees, the China EHS Roundtable (Supply Chain subgroup leader), and Business for Social Responsibility’s Ethical Sourcing Working Group. He is an expert member of the ISO Social Responsibility Working Group (ISO SR WG) as the International Organization of Employers representative, represents industry on the ISO SR WG Liaison Task force, and is a member of the US Technical Advisory Group for the ISO SR Standard.

Prior to his current role, he managed the global Health, Safety and Environment program for P&G’s worldwide Beauty Care manufacturing operations. He also led the company’s effort to: ensure that their environmental management systems met the intent of ISO 14001 and EMAS; and standardized the wastewater treatment plant design for the Company’s manufacturing plants.
