Thank you very much for your advice! I followed it and had wonderful times reading Victor Papanek's "Design for the Real World". I downloaded it from torrent search http://bytesland.com It's worth reading indeed. I must confess I knew very little about Victor Papanek. I learned about him from you. Thanks once more for the share. He's right about design killing people. I've read novels where builders took shortcuts in their building materials and design to save time and money... and people were killed as a result. These were novels, but interesting, none the less. I read "Design for the Real World" first before studying industrial design. Then read bits of it every semester of study. Now, a professional, I was thrilled when I found the new edition. I’ve always thought the world needs to work more like Papanek proposes, and actually, I think now people are becoming a lot more aware of the issues raised here. Papanek’s predictions or ideals are happening: In ecology, social work, and ethics. I admire this author, and it’s all because of this book, to start with.
