Received Masters Degree in Computer Graphic Design (MCGD) from the Wanganui School of Design and University of Waikato, New Zealand (2000). Since 1997, he has been researching and lecturing in new media, animation, computer graphic design and new media art installation research activities.

He has received international recognition and awards of excellence in design and research. As a co-founder of the experimental new media lab Hyperthesis Visual Lab (www.hyperthesis.com) and Therobinz (www.therobinz.com) in New Zealand, working closely with members exploring new media projects including product design, interactive art installations, illustration, graphic and animation. Many of these projects have been featured in international new media events and exhibitions.

He is a member of the WREGA (Malaysian Graphic Design Association) & corporate member of DINZ (Designers Institute of New Zealand). Currently lives and works in Shanghai, China. Served as Creative Director of Super Nature Design, http://www.supernaturedesign.com
