Avnah Couture was established by designer Avnah Davis-Long. Avnah was taught the creative skill of sewing and crochet by her mother Maria Davis. The teachings of this craft began at the age of nine but it was not an interest of Avnahs at all. In fact she didn't enjoy either at all. It was boring to her and was more a form of punishment than enjoyment. Her mother never let up, taught her how to hold the needle and how to gain speed as she crochet. This new craft later began her crave for the fashion industry. Avnah developed a line by the name of Avnah Couture and it has gain attention world wide. Her goal and mission is to launch this line nationwide. Her style is couture, anything over the top and nothing safe. This vision has gave her recognition and a futuristic approach into the fashion industry. She has done many shows including The Fashion, Hair and Beauty Expo at the fabolous Fox Theatre. She has also competed in the International Designer Competition in Newark, NJ. This line boast a wide array of one-of-a-kind pieces constructed from quality yarns and fabrics. They include dresses, gowns, ,pants, skirts, accessories and much more. Avnah creates designs that will set her apart from the ordinary fashion industry. Some call her "risque" which is fine because her designs are always on edge. She has a variety of attire from classy to sassy, sleek and sheik and haute couture. All styles have a unique flavor to bring out the diva in all women. Avnah Couture has been judged by many including Womens Wear Daily, Upscale Magazine, MBK Management and many more. Her Designs have been featured in Montage Magazine, Hype Hair, Hotlanta Magazine and others. Avnah has a desire to sell her line in high end department stores such as Macys, Sax and Neiman Marcus.
