Majid Aslani Born in 1972 in Iran , Tehran . My randez-vous with the canvas started when I was 7 years old. From the first years of my life I was passionate about various forms of artistic expression. After years of developing my technique and studying different media I decided to pursue my dream, and transform my passions into my line of work. I have always dedicated myself to visual art, as well as music. I studied the art of photography, computer aided design and the most important- painting. In 1986 I began playing classical iranian instruments. My favorite became the "Tar"-one of Persia 's most interesting string instruments which I play until now. The tar is used to accompany "Radif", or the Iranian poetry recitations. After studying the instrument for over 10 years in a musical profiled high school (Seda va Sima), I bacame a composer and a solist in Chakame musical group. We perforemed in various cities in Iran , and won a highly acclaimed, Iranian Folkloric Music contest. During my university studies my artworks were displayed in various galleries and showrooms: in Egypt, Arak, and Barg. In 1999 my graphics and paintings were shown during the biennale of art in The Contemporary Art Museum in Tehran . In the same year "Laleh" art gallery presented my works in Iran 's capital. I graduated from Azad Islamic University in Tehran in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in graphic designing. At that time I also exhibited my drawings and paintings in " Laleh - Barg - Shafagh " gallery . After graduation I worked on various freelance projects. I created the advertising campaign and designed the tour for Amir Karimi, who is one of Iran's most known singers.
Till 2003 I worked as a graphic designer in "ARK Company " a Tehran based computer company. In the same year I moved to Dubai , UAE to work as a graphic designer in Niagara(Just for 2 years- induring time i working just with this company) and Creative media in Dubai Media City . Currently I am the creative director in Lorenzo Entertainment, Advertising and Production company, where I was involved in the creation of Emporio Armani ,Fossil, Zara, Exit, Mel and Moj and Dior advertising campaigns. I poduced a major part of the artwork for these campaigns- including photography, website design and editing. I always considered art a study of beauty and humanity and the most perfect way of self-realization. Creativity is my pursuit of hapiness, a pursuit that can bring joy to me as well as others.
