Founder and Coordinator of volunteer project Design é preciso / We need design.
She developed the design for A voice against the silence, Stockolm’98, exhibition on the occasion of the awarding of the Nobel Prize to José Saramago and the exhibition about Michel Giacometti in the Centro Cultural de Cascais. In 2003 designed the magazine Memória for the Portuguese Foundations. She was one of the designers who developed the Portuguese participation in Book Fair of Frankfurt 1998 and 1999.
More recently she designed the corporate identity for Inov Export programme and for the Portuguese Carbon Fund, the system signage for aicep, the Complaints book, and the didactic manual Logotype – What is it? What is it for? How to built it?.
In 2009 she founded the volunteer project “We need design” (Design é preciso), a design Portuguese network that links designers to social solidarity activities.

We need design
A volunteer design Portuguese network that links who knows with who needs because only with knowledge, cooperating and a responsibility citizenship, can we achieve better society and quality of life.
Partner of Europeen Volunteer Year 2011.
The idea is to have a network of volunteer designers that with their capabilities and skills help solidarity activities by developing design projects that improve quality of life in those organizations and of the people who use them.
