founder of 'Sanchali' Movement to spread Indian art forms
Sanchali, meaning ‘movement’ in Sanskrit, is an attempt to revive traditional Indian art. This project is based on the historic art and craft from various period displayed in a traveling exhibition format. Its museum-like approach and presentation of all the period- inspired artifact replicas tagged with educational write-ups, informative photographs, and eye pleasing display found at bona fide museums. Emphasis is on educating people on art’s influence in history as well as encourages them to visit their local museums for further learning and research. Sanchali’s women empowerment programme by which rural women are trained in skills that can give them a sustained livelihood, independence and confidence and also updated designs and skills to be a productive member of society by utilizing the strength of unified cooperation and teamwork.
