Graphic designer based in Dubai. He studied graphic design at Universidad Católica del Perú. He has worked as visual graphic journalist since 1996 in Peruvian newspapers: El Sol, Correo and El Comercio. He was infographic teacher at San Martín de Porres University and San Ignacio de Loyola Institute. In 2001, he got a Reuters infographic fellowship in Navarra University in order to improve his knowledge about journalism. In 2006 he did a training course in Denver Post newspaper to learn more about the American journalism. In 2007 he accepted a new challenge in United Arab Emirates with Arab Media Group to develop the interest of the information graphics in the Middle East in their English and Arabic papers. Recognitions: 2001 ‘Peter Sullivan Fellowship”, 2006 Infographic Breaking News AP Colorado Press Award to Denver Post. 2006 Malofiej features bronze award to El Comercio, Peru. In 2008 the first SND Award of excellence in infographic non breaking news in the Middle East to Emirates Business24|7. In 2009 First SND Infographic Award to arabic newspapers Al Bayan (Silver-Non breaking news), First SND excellence award to arabic paper in Breaking news infographic category and graphics features to Emarat Al Youm and two SND excellence infographic awards to Emirates Business 24|7.
Promote the good visual journalism, and diseminate the Information graphics discipline in arabic, spanish and english readers.
