very clean and minimalistic design. The semiotics are working for me. You did the research and found all these languages to have in your poster. The half world analogy also can mean destruction since it looks like the death star from star wars. I wuld love to see other ideas applying this same concept of words and black background, maybe the words can form other types of shapes and make this poster a series. Although I have to say that this style of design I try not to practice, because I like more graphic dominant designs that can convey many messages at once.

Hi, congratulations on you poster design, its very clean, and the typography is elegant. You do convey the importance of language since all your characters have their mouths open as an expression of voice or sound, which is the most important element of language. Just one observation, since it is a poster, there are some concerns about visibility and readability from certain distances, I think the text in the middle will be hard to read, from 4 or 5 feet away. A poster is an announcement and it should grab the attention with engaging and big typography. This design would better serve as a book cover. In overall, good job, your work samples reflect your clean design and the how you manage shape and form.Moreover, the use of characters is very dynamic since they can be transfrom into animations or web banners easily with out loosing the essence of your original poster design.
