I am a specialist when it comes to designing print media, apparel and web graphics. My work is often characterized by tight, clean lines, dark colours and inspired by typographic influences from the 1990's. I pride my self on creating stunning posters, covers and page layouts. At the same time, I've branched out to apparel design and feel that ink on cloth is no different than ink on paper when it comes to art.
I have been practising design for about ten years and had my first formal position in the design field starting in September 2003, when I began working for the University of Waterloo's Federation of Students. That position allowed me to develop my skills as a print media designer, working on projects such as newspaper page layouts, posters, brochures and book covers. In October 2005, I made the successful transition to custom apparel design with a friend of mine named Ian Cole and we launched a partnership called Screenager Silkscreening.
Most recently, I made the move to Medicine Hat, Alberta from Waterloo, Ontario in August 2008 to launch Laconic Design. Laconic Design offers print media, apparel and web graphic design.
