Brian Dougherty is a founding partner at Celery Design Collaborative and the author of the book Green Graphic Design (January 2009, Allworth Press).
Brian's studio focuses on sustainability as a springboard for innovation and a strategic brand differentiator. The team does brand work, CSR reporting, designing web communities, packaging, exhibits, ... all revolving around green themes. The studio has offices in Berkeley, California and Paris, France.
Brian lectures and consults frequently on the subject of eco-innovation and sits on the board of the AIGA Center for Sustainable Design. Celery was named to I.D. Magazine’s 2007 ID40 list of influential designers, and has been recognized with the Environmental Leadership Award from the AIGA.
Green design represents an opportunity for us to rethink every aspect of what we do as designers -- in order to create a more efficient, more effective, even a more creative model of design.
