Correspond with charity:water via email and a few meetings. They will be happy to critique my ideas and give me positive feedback.
I met Victoria Marshall last week. She is a professor at IDC and teaches a class called Dynamic Nature, where they are entering a competition that addresses the global drinking water crisis: the Aspen Design Challenge
our meeting went rather well, she gave me some good advice and has a very wide understanding of water systems. She suggested that i look at the movement of water through people. Look into towns where wells are working and where they are not and find out why.
Victoria invited me to their tuesday class where there will be a guest speaker- Steward Pickett, who is a senior scientist at the Institute for Ecosystem Studies and will be talking about disturbance ecology. All of his work is watershed based. This might be interesting. As preparation for their class, she asked that I listen to an interview with Buzz Holling, who was awarded 2008 Volvo Environment Prize. click here to listen
