Because my tesis is about Water Crisis this is the perfect organization to help me with my issue because they work on water problems in differents poor places and one of them is India.

Water AID America http://www.wateraid.org/usa/whatwe_do/howwe_work/default.asp?gclid=CIO286yegJYCFQVxFQodARryFQ WaterAid and its partners work with individuals and families in their communities and use a mixture of low-cost technologies to deliver lasting water, sanitation and hygiene solutions.

This Organization also work in water crisis and also they are interesting in low -cost technologies, sanitation and hygiene solution and my idea is try to find a way where they car purify their own water with lo cost tecnology.

    Dmd-computer_177_

Muscular dystrophy also called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a Genetic, hereditary muscle disease that cause progressive muscle weakness, teens with this type of disease does not survive past their late teens and early adulthood. One of the problems that they have could be the lack of sociability they have with other people, they usually tend to not interact too much with society because they think they are different from others and depend from others. Scientists besides trying to get the cure for this disease by implementing new types of technologies they are also trying to get the patients to incorporate them to the society with different types of activities. High tables for public places, a new type of computer capable of writing what the user says, a digital pen capable of transferring information wrote on a digital paper to a computer are some of the products that exist in these days for them. One of the reasons I decide to make this project is because my cousin has DMD (Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy) and I think that there isn’t a variety of products available for them to interact with others. I will try to design interactive furniture or a product to help them feel more independent in their life. My next step will be getting more information about their needs.

Some videos and information about this disease.

Because of the shortage of purified water in underdeveloped countries there is a big dilemma about all the diseases this problem is causing. Even in places that have an abundance of water like rivers, lakes or wells would have the same type of problem because of the maladministration of the resources and the lack of technology used in these places. People from the rural zones and suburban zones are the most affected by this problem. If it could be possible to design processed water plant purification adaptable to the areas where these people live it would be possible to resolve this problem.

Some videos and information to show the real problem about it:

She wanted to improve the quality of life among low-income families in Cambodia. Poverty is a huge problem in Cambodia, 35% of the population is living under the poverty line which affects the health and education of that segment. The solution is a line of products that help Cambodian bamboo artisans increase their sales with a new product line designed by Vivian. Her non-profits included Cambodian NTFP Development Organization, World of Good, Aid to Artisans, and Rainforest Relief. The non-profits are involved in the distribution of goods in the local and global market.

Her mission was clearly stated: she wanted to take advantage of artisan skills and abundant natural resources to improve the poverty situation in Cambodia by helping to make the product more appealing and assisting the circulation of these products in the right global markets. While her mission is clear we were not convinced this problem is real, and we needed more statistics and visuals to back up her claims. The materials, designs, and technique chosen were not backed up with much evidence. How exactly is this distribution network set up? How will the economics of this work? Essentially she is trying to rebuild the economy of an entire country and this requires a thorough understanding and explanation of such things. What is special about the design, how does it stand out when compared to the original Cambodian products, what is wrong with the existing products, and what...
