  • Design Criteria

Function: The function or purpose is to be a safe outlet for an individual with rage and anger issues resulting from childhood sexual abuse. The product should not make the individuals more angry or frustrated with themselves.

Form: The form should be welcoming and easy going. It should not intimidate the user and help them feel safe and comfortable. The form should be fun and exciting, invite the user to test the product out, USE IT.

Material: Depending on design and function the material qualities will change. Something soft, squishy, making it malleable to the hands like the stress ball, or a material that with holds sounds for a venting “cone”. The material should follow the function and form to enhance the experience and the purpose.

Aesthetics: The aesthetics of the product is important to get the user to interact with the product. Therefore, the colors and the material should be welcoming along with the concept of usage that follows the idea.

Cost: The purpose of this product is to be able to be used by all demographics and organizations regardless of funding issues. The prices of manufacturing, materials, and distribution should be low to keep the cost of the product down to allow ease in being used by different demographics.
