  • Re-Intersecting the Lifestraw

    Poverty

As the Lifestraw is a temporary solution to getting clean water to those who suffer in third world countries... what prevents the sick and infected people from drinking from healthy individuals' straws? The solution that the designers of Lifestraw have developed is to be able to wear the drinking utensil around the neck. But what happens when the lifestraw is taken off and mixed with others... the solution is simple, and can be customized and different for the user. To save cost, it is more ideal and realistic for the individual to "carve" their names or something personal onto the Lifestraw itself. Whether it be a name, a character, or a number, this way of personalizing can be done after the distribution of the Lifestraw and skip a step of personalization at the manufacturing factories.
