Design 21: Social Design Network

I grew up in Korea until middle school and my family moved to Canada. And three years ago, I moved to New York by myself for my post secondary education. It was an extraordinary experience and it gave me important lessons. First I learned to acclimate myself into new environment and it gave me confidence that I could do well in any environment. And traveling different countries such as Egypt, Spain, Greece, turkey, china, Switzerland, Italy, England, France and Thailand, I understand different cultures and obtained open mined personality. Among all the experience, traveling to Europe was the most valuable experience. In summer 2006 I was standing in the airport with a backpack, passport and a plane ticket to Switzerland. As I was traveling I realize I was only a frog in the well does not know the ocean. On the way back to New York, I realized what I want to do and what I have to do to achieve what I want. The trip gave me passion, dreams and strength through out the junior year. Meeting new people during the trip and experience of living in a dormitory, it showed me how to make a compromise with others and it helped me through junior years with group projects. However, I tent to leave my homework until the day before the class. Before I graduate I wish to improve my time management.
