A green dove brings care and relief message from young designers of Hong Kong Design Institute to Japan!

This is the second project by Prof. Yoji Matsumura and his students of HKDI. Each students has drawn a message and they made a big collage to be a dove! The color is green meaning peace and fresh spring season.

We thank Prof. Matsumura and his wonderful students again, and I wish, too, that the dove will bring the peaceful time soon to Tohoku, Japan.

  • Japan Relief Message from Hongkong students

    Communication, Communication Design

    Dear friends,

I really appreciate everyone's heartfelt words and attention to Japan. It is almost a month after the great earthquake and tsunami hit Japan Tohoku area on March 11. It was a huge devastation and still many people have not found and more than 200,000 have evacuated.

Many people from all over the world have extended their sympathy and support to Japan, and we are so grateful for that.

Here I received a special artwork by the students of Hong Kong Design Institute, where Prof. Yoji Matsumura, a talented installation artist and the art director for Design21 2005 exhibition "Love Why", teaches art and design. His students expressed their support to Japan as the collage of their heartfelt design and sent to us. It is a lovely work and keeps us happy.

We appreciate Prof, Matsumura and his wonderful students. We would like to share this with everyone on D21 and keep stepping forward for the recovery.
