  • The concept of waste disposal. Absurdity ensues.

    Environment, Industrial Design

With rising gas prices, limitless pollution, and all the other ingredients for our demise, I have begun to take notice of certain aspects of our society that are absurd. I first began wondering what will happen to waste disposal once trash trucks can't fuel themselves and no longer go door to door. People are already panicking that they can't drive their SUV's without going broke, so once they can't get rid of their trash they will lose their minds.

Another interesting thing about trash is the concept of purchasing "trash bags". These items are designed and purchased for the sole reason of being thrown away. This is one of the silliest products in existence. A product designed for the landfill. Unlike toilet paper and other paper products which is also designed for disposal, trash bags are made of plastic. In the end everything decorates landfills, but only having that one purpose is ridiculous.

If I have made no sense in the paragraphs above let me know.

    Peace.
