Born in Istanbul, Ilanit Ovadya graduated from Parsons the New School for Design in 2008 with a BFA degree in product design. Living and working in New York and Istanbul, her activities have ranged from product and furniture- to graphic and web design.
Having worked with distinguished designers with different cultural backgrounds in different product fields, she gained a multi disiplinary, multi-cultural experience.
She believes that the design process is essential to resolve the scarcity of space in the world and designs multifunctional products in order to find a solution for this issue.
She is open to consider any opportunities to partner on the following topics: sustainable furniture, multifunctional products, industry-sponsored product development, architectural and virtual interfaces, mass-market product design, and design for the public realm.
