  • Anyone for the ‘Milky Bag Kid’?

    Environment, Environmental Design

I was shopping in Sainsbury’s yesterday and spotted these new jugs and bags of milk. Milk is now being sold in recyclable bags, apparently the bags contain 75% less waste than a standard 2 pint bottle. The system seems to be a trial for the time being as users are urged to log onto and register their feedback. I like this a lot and hope it works, a simple and cost effective way to reduce my rubbish.

  • Stop killing cyclists

Really smart Transport For London ad.

I’ve seen quite a few of these used as corporate training exercises. Wouldn’t it have been better if it had been filmed with cyclists rather than basketball players though, given the message?

  • Alzheimer100_177_

As there are no posts here yet I thought I'd kick things off by introducing a project I worked on last year at thinkpublic called alzheimer100.

    What is alzheimer 100?

Alzheimer100 is a project which aimed to come up with creative solutions to the challenges presented by dementia.

Alzheimer100 was a part of Designs of the time, a year long project based in the North East exploring how design can make a positive difference to our daily lives.

People with dementia, their carers, service providers and experts in the field led this project. These groups worked together to tell their stories and design new services and products.

You can find out more about Alzheimer100 here:
