I am a Beastie Boy loving, sushi eating, bicycle riding, lip gloss wearing interior and product designer. And I'm all about sustainability, smart AND sexy design, and helping to create the world I want to live in. Diversity can teach us all, and community is everything. I am half-Finnish and half-Chinese, and while sleek aesthetic rules my world I believe beauty can be found in absolutely everything.
I grew up in Los Angeles (Echo Park y'all!) but moved to Canada just before the ninth grade. I stayed there and lived in the fabulous city of Toronto for over 10 years. I've been an interior designer on HGTV's 'Home to Go' and TLC's 'Trading Spaces', and was a pop culture expert on Canada's music TV stations MuchMusic and MuchMoreMusic.
Art, design and activism make me smile. Traveling to new places, whether down the street or across the ocean, fuels my creativity. Oh, and hands-down music is my muse. I currently live and work in LA.
Young Progressive Majority (YPM): I am the Executive Director of YPM. This amazing group educates and engages young people about voting. We are a social network formed to spread awareness of local elections and progressive political issues. We publish voter guides, throw concerts, meet with politicians, and basically rock-out to try and get more people 35 years-old and younger to vote in local elections. Home sweet home, right?
