Design 21: Social Design Network

I recently left the advertising world for a freelance life because I couldn't reconcile the ethical void that existed. I believe that design promotes communication which promotes understanding and awareness. This is a powerful tool that need not be wasted on convincing people to consume more and be less connected to their world. I believe that as designers we can make a difference by being thoughtful and mindful about the messages we send out into the culture and by offering our services to those with important messages to communicate.
