  • Enjoy Days On The Beach While Staying At La Manzanilla Rentals

    Communication, Communication Design

When the skies at home turn gray, the leaves have fallen and snow covers the ground, Mexico continues to offer warm inviting beaches that are ideal for a winter vacation. La Manzanilla rentals provide the perfect place to visit for a week or longer. These homes provide more room than one would find in a hotel and an excellent choice for a getaway.

The town is located along the southern edge of Bahia de Tenacatita, offering the perfect place to enjoy an ocean-side vacation. In addition to numerous day of sunshine there are plenty of sea breezes. Wiggle your toes through the sand or take a dip in the ocean as you create memories that will last a lifetime.

This part of Mexico offers plenty to keep active travelers busy. There are opportunities for hiking, boogie boarding, biking, snorkeling or kayaking just around the corner. Take a tour of the mangrove to see the many native birds as well as other wildlife. On Fridays, visitors will want to head into town for market day while opportunities to visit shops are available most other days.

Many of the restaurants are owned by gringos and the wait staff normally speaks English. However, at the Palapa restaurants located on the beach, taco stands in town and local grocery stores, the primary language is Spanish. Many of the locals are beginning to pick up English from the large number of visitors. Be courteous and remember speaking louder or slower will not help a non-English speaker to understand you.

Visitors from the USA should plan to drink bottled water or soda. Most bars and restaurants use purified water for drinks, but a visitor is free to ask just to be sure. If one chooses to prepare meals in the home, it is a good idea to add a product such as Microdyn, which can be purchased at the local grocer, to the water used to clean vegetables for salads. For drinking homes, it is likely the visitor will find one or more five gallon water bottles intended for his use.

There are many restaurants in the area that serve a wide variety of foods. Try the Palapas, located on the beach for rich, homemade Mole or seafood omelets known as ceviche. Venture into the streets and enjoy tacos from the many stands that are open only at night. Some of the grocery stores are open from 8 in the morning to 9 at night.

Located on the beautiful Pacific coast of Mexico in the state of Jalisco, the area is a 3 1/2 hour drive from Puerto Vallarta. When flying, choose the Manzanillo Airport, about 45 minutes to the south. While traveling by bus is possible, there is no direct service from Puerto Vallarta; therefore, travelers may need to take a taxi from the next town to the south back to their rental.

La Manzanilla rentals offer a wide variety of accommodations for travelers to this Pacific Coast area of Mexico. The water is warm and the beaches are beautiful. Mexico offers the perfect place to escape the dreary winter of home.
