  • Hendren Global Group: US Bugging EU, Japan and Others in Latest NSA Scandal

    Communication, Communication Design

It is clear that the Obama administration is really busy these days because of so many scandals and leaks. From supporting al-Qaeda affiliated terrorists groups in Syria to the Benghazi supply of weapons to terrorists which resulted in the ultimate loss of life of American nationals; then everything is up for grabs. Therefore, damning information about America spying on the European Union (EU), Japan, South Korea, and other alleged allies; shows that in the land of the free that “nothing is sacred” and this also applies to manipulating the IRS.

European ministers from many nations are expressing their disgust towards the government of America which is behaving like an Orwellian entity. Indeed, already major American media outlets like CNN are trying to brush the latest National Security Agency (NSA) scandal under the carpet. However, networks in America which don’t fall under the “pro-Obama government umbrella” will hopefully raise serious questions. The President of France, Francois Hollande, sternly rebuked America. Hollande states that “We cannot accept this kind of behaviour between partners and allies….We ask that this immediately stop….There can be no negotiations or transactions in all areas until we have obtained these guarantees, for France but also for all of the European Union.”

Likewise, Sabine Leutheusser-Schnarrenberger,” the German Justice Minister, commented that the alleged tactics by America “recalls the methods used by enemies during the Cold War.”

The BBC states that the latest “…report mentions codenames of alleged operations against the French and Greek missions to the UN, as well as the Italian embassy in Washington…”

“The paper adds that the list of targets also includes “a number of other American allies, including Japan, Mexico, South Korea, India and Turkey.”

It remains to be seen how Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will respond to the fact that America is spying on its alleged ally. Hopefully, the media in Japan will dig deeper than usual when it comes to uncovering negative issues related to Obama. After all, the national security of Japan should not be usurped by the information collected by America if the alleged report is factual. Therefore, political elites in Japan should wake up because this nation hosted an anti-Syrian government meeting on the whims of Washington. Yet, Japan doesn’t need to be brought into the murky world of America, France, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Kingdom; when it comes to supporting terrorism, sectarianism and sedition against Syria. Similarly, Japan needs to distance itself from the tactics of America which is spying on allies. This reality means that it is imperative for Japan to condemn the latest shenanigans by Washington.
