Along with wonderful collaborators, I am a co-founder and on-going collaborator of the Dirt Cafe project based in London. The most recent Dirt Cafe collaboration led us to create the Dirt Cafe Water Debate and Water Salon for the 2007 London Design Festival. Th project serves different purposes for different people and we guard that open-endedness so as not to 'pin down the butterfly'. The project began in 2004. It seems to offer an alternative, more convivial platform for sharing stories and knowledge beyond most conventional forms of debate/discussion.
Also, I am co-developing and team teaching a new class on Sustainability & Design with a special emphasis on food that leads to questions and proposals for growing green spaces, forging connections between wellbeing and caring, pleasure and community, and more.
Designing reveals connectedness and relationships between things.
