Abigail Doan is a mixed media, fiber, and environmental artist who lives in New York City and Italy. She is a contributing editor to the DIY 'craftivity' site,, and is a contributing writer to, the sustainable design weblog. She has exhibited her work in numerous international exhibitions and is a featured artist on, the online environmental art museum. Her work has been included most recently in UNEP's World Environment Day, Fiber National 2007, The Seed Project, Stretched Threads at The Atlantic Center for The Arts as well as in the periodical, Knit Knit 7, and the book, 'Craftivity: 40 Projects for the DIY Lifestyle'.

Abigail is also a regular contributor to Inhabitat, Eco Fashion World, and the Ethical Fashion Forum. In 2009, she founded ecco*eco, an online project dedicated to ethical fashion and sustainable textile design.
