Does this design reflect a(n)...
• well developed and easily understood concept?
The core concept is extremely powerful yet very controversial and potentially offensive to a multicultural global audience where cultural norms and sensitivities differ radically.
In addition, the current solution does not contextualise to which of the Human Rights Convention’s areas the design solution relates. An addition of a text line that clarifies this will be beneficial to contextualise the issue.
• level of social engagement?
As above.
• understanding of the issues reflected in the poster?
As above.
• sense of internationalism and accessibility?
The message is so hard hitting that it traverses the boundaries of acceptable cultural norms in many cultures. In some cultures, it will work exceptionally well, while in others it would be deemed to be highly offensive.
