Our vision is to be one of the premier art centers in the country: a place where art thrives, is accessible, and inspires everyone in their everyday lives. It is a place where forges roar, sparks fly, glass bends, molten metals fuse and pour, clay and cement take on form, neon glows, and creativity explodes! Through training in the fine and industrial arts, The Crucible promotes creative expression, reuse of materials, and innovative design while serving as an accessible arts venue for the general public.
Programs
Our youth and community programs serve thousands every year, bringing arts education and special events to many that otherwise would never be exposed to arts and culture.
News & Events
The Crucible celebrates its 10th Anniversary this January 2009. To celebrate, there will be another stunning Fire Ballet presentation running January 7-10 and 14-17th. Don't miss Dracul: Prince of Fire -- an innovative prequel to the vampire legend that forges classical ballet and music with fire and aerial artistry. It's serious ballet with a bite!
History
Started by a group of artists looking for space to work and share their skills with others, The Crucible now owns it's own 56,000 square -foot studio space and provides arts education classes to over 5,000 adults and youth each year.
