BIDS co-partners with ASID Interiors '08 Conference in New Orleans.
March 13- 16, 2008

BIDS will present a Panel Discussion : "Bridging the Gaps: Diversity in Design" featuring New Orleans architect, James Washington, Jr, of Hewitt-Washington and Associates. A firm providing overall planning for District 6 Neighborhood Rebuilding Plan.

Renown architect and educator, Jack Travis, AIA, NOMA will present case studies of "Culturally Expressive Environmental Design."

History

BIDS is a publishing division of Lifestyle Design Interiors. In 1995 our magazine's original concept was inspired by the lack of exposure given to the few professional black interior designers in the United States. Founded by Alicia Valair, CID, CKD, Allied Member ASID and supported by an impressive list of designers and architects who form the BIDS Advisory Council. The BIDS website was launched September 2007.
