Programs

Domestic Programs: With our fleet of more than 50 eighteen-wheelers and a network of over 50,000 partner agencies, Feed The Children distributed more than 115 million pounds of food and other necessities to desperately hungry American Families in 2006. Last year, in addition to providing food and emergency relief, Feed The Children delivered basic school supplies to thousand of impoverished students nationwide to help them stay in school and succeed.

International Programs: Through our field offices and supported programs, Feed The Children distributed more than 14 million pounds of food and other vital supplies to hundreds of thousands of children and families in 43 countries last year. Since 1979, we have fed hungry children in 118 countries. Throughout the world, Feed The Children has also launched innovative development programs, including vocational training, small business start-up loans, and health and nutrition training.

Disaster Relief: With years of experience and a wide range of resources, Feed The Children is able to provide emergency assistance quickly and efficiently to victims and survivors of disasters and to relief workers. When catastrophes hit at home or overseas, whether it is a wildfire, tornado, mudslide, flood or devastating hurricane, Feed The Children responds immediately with food and other emergency supplies for desperate individuals and families.

History

Since our founding in 1979, Feed The Children has become on of the nation’s largest charities, dedicated to feeding the bodies and minds of hungry girls and boys to prepare them for healthy, successful lives. Last year, Feed The Children distributed more than 129 million pounds of food and other essentials to children and their families in all 50 states and internationally, supplementing more than 730,000 meals every day.
