Meet the judges for the "Stories from the Field" competition!
The competition is to create a logo for "Stories from the Field: The United Nations Documentary Film Festival" which supports the United Nations' Millennium Development Goals.
Judging is divided into two sessions: Pre-Selection by members of DESIGN 21's Advisory Board and Final Selection by members of the organizers of the festival, Media Communications Association International, New York Chapter (MCA-I NY) and United Nations Department of Public Information (UNDPI).
The Pre-Selection Jury includes:
David Carlson (Sweden) – Brand consultant and founder David Design and David Report
Halim Choueiry (Lebanon) – Designer, teacher and Vice President of Icograda's (International Council of Graphic Design Associations) Executive Board
Jacques Lange (South Africa) – President of Icograda's Executive Board
Lise Vejse Klint (Denmark) – Program Director INDEX and Secretary General of Icograda's Executive Board
Omar Vulpinari (Italy) – Creative Director of the Visual Communication Department at Fabrica
Laetitia Wolff (USA) – Editorial Director of Surface Magazine
The Final Selection Jury includes:
Rocco Callari – former Chief of Graphic Design Unit at UNDPI
Matias Delfino– Graphic designer at UNDPI
Linda Lopez – President, MCA-I NY and Co-Producer of "Stories from the Field"
Joanna Piucci – Chief of Special Projects Unit at UNDPI
Corinna Sager – Programs Chair of MCA-I NY and Co-Producer of "Stories from the Field"
A Public Vote!
During a one-week voting period, from Tuesday November 27 to Monday December 3 2007, DESIGN 21 members can view all the entries submitted to the competition and vote for their favorite entries. The Most Popular prize winner automatically goes on to the final round of judging.
The winning logo will receive $5,000.
Deadline for entries is Monday November 26, 2007.
