At last we're pleased to announce our judging line-up for our two current competitions.
Created for The Nature Conservancy and the Forest Stewardship Council (US), Wood, Paper, Checkmark is a competition to create elements of a consumer call-to-action campaign to buy FSC-certified products as a means of protecting forests around the world. The deadline for this competition is January 13. The Nature Conservancy plans to use the winning entry. The prize pool for this competition is $10,000, first prize being $5,000.
Choosing the Overall Winner will be:

Jennifer Leonard (Canada) Design researcher, writer and strategist at IDEO
David Carlson (Sweden) Brand consultant and founder of furniture brand David Design, trend guide David Report, and consultancy/event Designboost
Halim Chouiery (Lebanon) Designer and educator, and vice president of ICOGRADA (International Council of Graphic Design Associations)
A competition to promote linguistic diversity and multilingualism, Languages Matter! asks entrants to create the 2009 UNESCO official poster of International Mother Language Day, February 21. The deadline is January 19, 2009 and the prize pool is $5,000, including a first prize of $3,000 and an invitation to attend International Mother Language Day at UNESCO's headquarters in Paris.
