The United Nations’ olive branch logo is echoed in a branch made up of eight pieces of film, representing both the film festival and the eight UN Millennium Development Goals. The L in “field” is a strip of film which can be seen as growing from the field, metamorphosing into the leaves of the olive branch, an image often associated with other international film festivals.
