Giving a Face and Voice

The UN millenium goals with the film festival aim to put a spotlight on the concerns which are relatively marginalized. That is the main concept of this logo-- where the "invisibles" of society (symbolized by the featureless face with broken outline) and agendas are fleshed out, via the documentary works, finally giving them a voice and a voice that they too should be prioritized-- now they will be seen and heard. The colors used represent the neutral passive gray to represent what needs to be changed and the maroon represent the fight for these goals. The little flame on the text represents knowledge, because it is with the sharing of these documentary works that minds are opened and seek change on their behalf.
