In Italian we call lens "obiettivo"; this word has many different meanings: it designates "telephoto lens", but also "intention", "aim" (goal, purpose), "design", "target", "impartial"...
In my Italian mind an image of lens can recall many other worlds...
That's a linguistic reason, that is not properly universal; but telephoto lens bring other meanings again: "focus on", first of all...
And inside, here it is, our World.
Light blu: clean, because I'm optimistic.
And again, about the font: a bit "vintage": brown, thin...
It recall the tradition of cinema, with the stylized films to the sides of lens, recalling the famous (always pretty vintage) MGM logo.
